Configuring Payment Types
Payment Method Configuration
For conceptual information about what each method is and where it's supported, see the Payment Methods page. This section covers plugin-specific setup only.
Cards
Supported in all modes (0, 1, 2, 3) — see Configuration Choices for what each mode does.
For tokenisation (Mode 1): launch the plugin in Mode 1 to capture a card and receive a token via redirect and callback. The token can then be charged later through your normal payment flow or via the REST API. For backend-led tokenisation without launching the plugin, use POST /v2/cardproxies instead.
Bank / PayID
Bank one-off payments and PayID are supported only on Hosted Checkout and are considered legacy flows — most real-time bank scenarios now use PayTo instead. See Payment Methods → Bank / PayID for program levels and reconciliation detail.
PayTo
Available through the plugin for both tokenisation and one-off payments.
- Enable: pass
allowPayToOneOffPayment: truewhen loading the plugin - Tokenisation: launch in Mode 1; customer enters bank details, plugin returns a
Pendingtoken via redirect + callback. Customer approves the mandate in their bank app, at which point the token becomesActive - Display: flag newly-created PayTo tokens as "Pending Mandate Approval" in your wallet UI until approved
- Status updates: subscribe to the Zenith Customer Webhook for mandate approval/decline/cancellation events, or poll
GET /v2/proxies/{token}for current status - Charging: once
Active, pass the token like any other card or bank token — no plugin-side change needed
See Payment Methods → PayTo for the mandate lifecycle, webhook payload shape, and status field details.
Apple Pay
Requires a domain verification file before it can be enabled on your site:
- Contact the Zenith Payments Integrations Team with the domain URL that hosts the plugin (e.g.
www.zenpay.com.au) - Zenith provides a verification file to place at
/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-associationon that domain - Once you confirm the upload, Zenith registers the domain with Apple Pay
This step is only required when you host the plugin on your own domain. Payment Links are fully Zenith-hosted and do not require it.
The Apple Pay button currently shows only on Apple devices; a QR code fallback for non-Apple devices is planned.
Google Pay and Alipay+
See Payment Methods → Digital Wallets for availability and plugin setup details.
BNPL / SlicePay
TravelPay merchants only. SlicePay is only available to TravelPay merchants — speak to your BDM about enabling this method. Once enabled on the merchant account, it appears as a payment option with no additional plugin parameter needed beyond the normal Mode 0 flow. See Payment Methods → Buy Now Pay Later for product detail.
